Tahirah Razak — Founder & Curator of Gallery Om

Tahirah Razak, known artistically as PussycatMonkey, has exhibited her work internationally — from New York City to galleries in Kuala Lumpur and the National Art Museum of Malaysia. As PussycatMonkey, her art is playful yet raw, blending bold colors, symbols, and emotional honesty in what she calls a dialogue between imagination and reality.

Now, as the founder and curator of Gallery Om – Modern Art, Tahirah’s focus is on creating a dynamic cultural space in Boise. Her vision is to bridge Asia and Boise, building an exchange program that connects artists and audiences across continents. For her, Gallery Om is more than a gallery: it is a portal, a meeting place where global perspectives and local creativity come together.

Rooted in both her Southeast Asian heritage and her experience in international art communities, Tahirah brings a unique curatorial voice — one that celebrates emerging and boundary-pushing artists while making modern art accessible and engaging to all.

As she explains:
“Love is the driving force behind my work. Whether through the playful chaos of PussycatMonkey or the thoughtful curation of Gallery Om, it’s always about connection — love for art, love for people, and love for the possibilities that open when the two meet.”

Through this lens, Gallery Om becomes not just a place to view art, but a living hub where creativity, culture, and community converge.
